Orchid Garden
If there's one thing I love to photograph, it's flowers. So it goes without saying that I was in photograph heaven when my auntie decided to take me and Sarah to the Orchid Garden yesterday. I don't think that I've ever seen so many different breeds of Orchids in one place before. There were the standard orchids that one may see in a nursery or at the florist and then there were strange breeds of orchids in different colors and shapes.
It's places like this that make me think of my mom. I know she would have loved to be there with me admiring the different breeds and critiquing the presentation.

Little India
Took a trip to Little India today with my Auntie Choo. If I were to pick a bargaining wing-woman it would definitely be my auntie. We wandered through the stalls at all of the elaborate embroidery and bright colors, stopping for a quick drink from a coconut. I didn't buy too much for myself - I mostly stocked up on gifts for my friends and family back home. I'm not one to buy silly little souvenirs for my loved ones, I typically wait until I find something that speaks to me.

Treetop Walk
Today I we went to the Treetop Walk. I must say that I was beginning to feel my energy lagging as I woke and got ready to leave a bit earlier than usual. At home I am very used to waking up early to get to work by 7am, but here I have become accustomed to rolling out of bed at 9 to leave around 10:30-11. It was good to get out of the house a little earlier today. It began to rain later in the day, so it was good that we had an early start.
We walked along the tree tops, daring ourselves to look down at the leafy ground. We paused to look at the signs, pointing out the various forms of nature we thought we saw. The signs suggested that there would be frequent monkey sitings, but no.
