Over the Knee

(Jacket, sweater, and boots from Free People)

I've always been a boot person. I love everything about them, from the look of them to the way they feel on my feet (and sometimes legs.)  There is just something so easy about a good pair of boots. These ones in particular were quite the investment, but so far they've been well worth it. These boots are everything that I look for in a pair of over the knee boots. They're slouchy, the leather is incredibly soft, and I can wear them with a variety of different things. I know I will have them for years to come.

Through Frosted Windows

During the cold months we retreat. We take comfort in thick layers and steaming cups of hot liquid. We hide behind frosted windows and watch the world go on outside. We draw faces and shapes in the condensation, our heads in a warmer place, where legs and arms are bare and frees. "Just a couple more months" we remind ourselves. Winter is only a temporary state.

Nights In

(Free People Teddy Bear and Sweater & Anthropologie joggers)

Who doesn't love a good night in? Outside temperatures below 20 degrees, waddling around in a zillion layers. Yesterday I was just not having it with the cold. While the first few weeks of winter have been relatively mild, this week it is seriously beginning to feel like winter in New England. After an exhausting day of running around in the cold, I decided to spend my Tuesday night in-doors. I lit all my candles, until my apartment smelled like an amazing collection of baked goods and incense. I pulled on my thickest socks and a pair of comfy joggers and curled up with my friends - Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe, and Joey.

Happy New Year!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful New Year! I spent my night partying like it was the 1920's with a bunch of my closest friends. We rang in the New Year drinking champagne and dancing the Charleston. Truly one of my favorite nights to date. Here are just a few of my favorite shots from the night.

New Year's Walk

I went for a walk in the woods behind my Dad's house early on New Year's Eve just to give myself some time to reflect on the past year.

I began by thinking back to where my head was at this time last year. It really was not far from where it is today, but so much has changed since. New friends, getting to know new family members, getting promoted. You could kinda say that 2014 has been a pretty good year in terms of growth.

After reflecting on the past year, I began to think of the coming year. What will 2015 hold for me? So many possibilities in a new year. I'm not ruling out anything.
