Scenes from the South End

I spent my Saturday exploring the South End. In my four years living in Boston, I've never really had the opportunity to hang out in this area so I decided to spend my day off wandering around. We started the day with brunch at Masa, took a little trip to the dog park and then ended the afternoon with some goodies from Blackbird Doughnuts.

As I walked along the cobblestone sidewalks, it felt as if I was in an entirely different city altogether. I'm always astounded by just how big Boston is for such a small city. There are so many spots that I haven't had the chance to see and I live here! I really hope to be able to explore a little more of my amazing city before I leave.

Philly

What an adventure this month has been! Right smack in the middle of my trip to Nashville, I was given the opportunity to interview for a Free People Home Office interview. While the position did not end up working out I had a fantastic time exploring Home Office with my good friend, Emma. The only way I could possibly describe my time at Home Office was that it was an absolute daydream.

Until next time Philly!

Suited Up

(Thrifted skirt, belt  and jacket, American Apparel bodysuit, Madewell backpack, Jeffrey Campbell for Free People boots, Free People bra)

If there's one thing I haven't played around with much, it's bodysuits. We've been getting a ton of bodysuits at the store I decided that it was time to have some fun! It was oddly warm so decided to pair it with long flowy skirt that I found at Savers a couple years ago along with a belt that belonged to my Mom. I went for a light denim jacket and my favorite lace up boots to give a bit of a rougher finish.

This leather backpack is another obsession but I'll save that for another post.

Nashville

First of all, Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great holiday season. Mine was wonderful, spent surrounded by family and friends.

This year, I am planning on working on myself and deepening my relationships with others. The past year was all about growth and thinking about my future, 2016 will be all about new beginnings. I'm graduating from college this year and starting anew so this will surely be a big year for me!

My first order of business this year was to reconnect with an old friend of mine. My friend Oakley and I were very close and high school, but after graduation she moved back down south and while we've tried out best to keep in touch, there's nothing like being close distance-wise to keep the friendship alive.

So a few weeks ago, John and I headed south to spend on quality time with our long-lost friend. We ate, drank, went sight-seeing, and   had a great time! The amazing thing about true friendship is that you can be away from each other for an extended period of time and be able to pick up right where you left off. That's exactly what we did.

Here are just some photos of all the fun we had! Thanks so much for having us, Oaks, it was so good to see you again! Next time you're coming up North.
