Seawolf

Last night I went and saw Seawolf at the Brighton Music Hall with my good friend, Diana. The music was wonderful and soothing - the perfect way to end my Sunday.

I really got into Seawolf's music when I was in high school. I had not listened to him in a long time and then I learned that had come out with a new album back in 2012 and my love for his music came flooding back! I found out that he was playing a show at the Brighton Music Hall and knew that I HAD to go!

It is really something when you remember the lyrics to a song even though you haven't heard it in a long time.

The Brighton Music Hall is really one of my favorite venues. It's so small and intimate; it really connects you to the musicians. They also always have the best people performing!

Winter Blues

It was a snow day here in Boston! It has been quite the snowy winter in New England and like most people here I am beyond ready for summer.

My afternoon classes were cancelled so I spent my day hanging out with my good old friend, Netflix. I did take a break to venture out into the snow to snap a couple photos of the snow storm. It was so wet and snowy out that I could barely walk five feet out my door without my camera getting soaked!

Nothing but slush. These Docs can handle anything.

I hope that everyone stays safe and warm on this snowy, slushy day!

Outtakes!

Just a couple of shameless outtakes from last weekend.

I hope everyone had a good Monday. Mine was pretty productive. I managed to finish all my work for the week and then went and hung around in Allston (my future home) for a bit. I did some poking around in the second-hand shops in the area and even stopped for some bubble tea. I wonderful Monday all-in-all.

Happy Monday!

Chai Lover's Cupcakes

I made some yummy cupcakes with my cousins yesterday. We were flipping through a cupcake recipe book and found a recipe for chai cupcakes and if you know me you know how much I love anything spicy. This is coming from the girl who asks for two extra pumps in her soy chai lattes. I definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a little extra spice in their life at this time of the year.

Lighten Up

I'm going to start off the month of February the right way - by sharing a few of my favorite pieces from Free People. I have been obsessed with this brand for years and years. From the moment that I first set foot into one of their whimsical stores, I knew. Since I began working at the Boston store back in September I have come to collect a number of pieces that I go to everyday.

There really is nothing I love more than a pretty white dress (I must have at least 100 in my closet currently) and this Free People slip is no exception. I fell in love with it as soon as we received it at the store. I wear at least once a week! I can't wait for the warmer months when I can wear it just like this!

Ninth Hole Ankle Boot by Free People

Whenever I like something that we have at the store, I make sure to take some time and think about whether or not I really want it or not. We get loads and loads of shipment in every week and of course I can't afford to buy everything…unfortunately. But there are some pieces that I just KNOW I have to buy.

I have been on a search for the perfect ankle boots for quite sometime now and when we received these at the store I knew they were the ones. I sat on it for about a week and then I caved and finally got them. And I am so glad I did! I have been wearing them nonstop ever since! They are just the perfect shade of cherry brown and they ankle straps are simply to die for.

The same goes for this amazing brimmed hat. I have a lot of wide-brimmed hats, but none quite like this one. The width of the brim is perfect for everyday wear. The majority of my hats are so wide that I can't even drive with them on! This one is simply perfection.

Alright that's enough Free People obsessing for one day. Enjoy your Saturday!
